Who we are

Retail Media Group (RMG) was founded in 2002 with the introduction of the AdBar™ grocery divider as an advertising solution that literally puts an advertiser’s message in the palm of a customer’s hand. Now available in 355 locations and 76 markets nationwide, our grocery store network delivers a total of 45.7 impressions every month. Our ad product offering has grown to include AdTray (self-checkout trays) and AdCap (conveyor belt end cap) and AdWrap (full conveyor belt wrap).

RMG Loyalty, a division of RMG, is also the exclusive national reseller of AIR MILES INCENTIVES®, a turnkey results-driven marketing solution that enables qualified businesses to purchase AIR MILES® Reward Miles as an incentive for their customers or employees. Since 2008, more than 700 businesses have joined the AIR MILES® Reward Program through AIR MILES INCENTIVES® and they have collectively issued over 130 million Miles.

RMG has a head office in Calgary, Alberta and employs over 75 people, including sales and operations staff in all major markets across the country.

In 2016, for the fifth consecutive year, RMG appeared on the PROFIT 500 list of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies.

Our Team

Claudio Rodrigues – CEO and Co-Founder

Claudio is a proven brand builder and a leading expert on loyalty and reward programs. He first earned his stripes at American Express, where he was an integral member of the team that created and launched the Membership Rewards loyalty program – one of Canada’s first Loyalty programs which subsequently went on to be rolled out around the World.

He then joined AIR MILES® (LoyaltyOne), as a Start Up enterprise. Over the next decade, he helped to build one of Canada’s foremost consumer and loyalty brands, in addition to consulting and training AIR MILES teams in the U.S. and Europe.

In 2002, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own Company (along with Brad Wolff) – Retail Media Group. The company has grown rapidly, from an initial start up in Calgary with one product, AdBar, to a National media and marketing powerhouse.

Claudio holds an MBA from Queen’s University and a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta. His personal motto is “Carpe Diem”, and his love of Good Food, Great Wine, Good Music and Glorious Single Malts, are well known. He calls himself an avid “but not very good” golfer and soccer player and is the proud father of two talented children.

Brad Wolff – President and Co-Founder

Brad was born and raised on a grain farm in Saskatchewan.  Modest roots, great parents and a strong work ethic have helped to shape his character … he is tenacious with a direct, honest and down to earth approach, which leads to enduring customer relationships.

Brad began his career in sales and then transitioned into both advertising and loyalty. He is a leading expert in consumer loyalty and reward programs having worked at AIR MILES® (Loyalty One) on a select team tasked with the creation and launch of a US Coalition program.  Focusing on strategy, sales and marketing, together with Claudio, he has built and manages one of Canada’s fastest growing businesses, Retail Media Group.

Graduating with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan, Brad majored in Marketing and Finance. Brad loves being active outside, spending much of his free time road cycling, mountain biking or scrambling up peaks in the mountains. He has a huge passion for travel.  In the summer of 2012 Brad became a father to an amazing little girl – this is proving to be his best adventure yet!

Jill Rodrigues – Executive Vice President

Jill Rodrigues is the third member of the Executive Team and co-principal in RMG. She oversees the Operations and IT for both Advertising and Loyalty divisions of the business. While her formal education background is Rehab Med, with the creation of the Retail Media she changed course and focused her intuitive problem solving skills on developing and managing the physical and IT systems and procedures that form RMG Operations.

Jill graduated with a BSc Honours (Physical Therapy) from the University of Alberta.  She was both a practicing Physio and Clinic Manager before she turned to Business Operations. She is the mother of two wonderful young adults and is now an empty nester enjoying traveling, hiking, scuba diving and all things food and wine!

Stuart Weinman – Vice President, Sales

Stuart Weinman is responsible for leading a national sales-force in promoting AIR MILES INCENTIVES® to small and medium sized corporations.

His expertise lies in the field of Sales. His past experiences include: National director of sales AVW Telav, Director of sales at Securit records management, and Director of sales Sprint Canada. With this experience, Stuart has grown into a natural sales leader and has a knack for leading his Sales team to attain personal and company goals.

Stuart attended the business program at Seneca College. He has a passion for coaching his son’s hockey team allowing him to stay involved with his family and in the sport he grew up playing.

Carolyn Robertson – Vice President, Marketing & Strategy

As part of the leadership team, Carolyn is responsible for defining the marketing strategy for AIR MILES INCENTIVES and for developing a comprehensive marketing plan to achieve the business’ growth targets.

Carolyn brings over 15 years of experience as an accomplished CRM Marketer working within various industries including: Grocery & Drug (Canada & US); Telecommunications; Airline; Financial Services; Automotive & Fuel; Real Estate; Food Service & Restaurant. Having spent over 10 years in Client & Consulting Services at LoyaltyOne/AIR MILES Reward Program, her experience is rooted in loyalty.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. She is an active volunteer and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of the Famous Five Foundation and as a senior associate with the Calgary Stampede. Carolyn is an adoring mom to a son & a daughter who are twins and, as such, spends her time keeping up with hockey tournament, swim meet, and music recital commitments. Thankfully, she enjoys running, so that helps.

Akosha Baier – Director of Finance

Akosha is the newest member of our team and handles all things finance! A Professional Chartered Accountant, Akosha is an expert in private enterprise accounting, audit, and tax. Akosha complements our team with more than two decades of diverse experience in a wide range of industries, including investments, hospitality, retail, and public accounting.

With her passion for private company accounting, Akosha ensures the accounting department continues to run as smoothly as it has in the past and is prepared for new challenges as Retail Media Group expands into new markets.

Akosha graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) and went on to complete her CA designation with a Big 4 Firm. On the weekends you will find Akosha and her husband-to-be somewhere in the mountains in search of some epic champagne powder or otherwise wishing it was winter.
